Wedding in Marbella – Teema and Jose
We’ve all heard the stories – a couple meet on holiday and fall in love … but it never works out. This time it did. When Teema, from South Arabia came to Marbella on holiday, she met Jose who lives there. They clicked instantly.
But that wasn’t the end of it – it was just the beginning. They fell in love and stayed in love and some time later I had the honour to be asked to be their Marbella wedding photographer. Because yes, of course they got married where they first met!
It was a day jam-packed with emotion. From the very beginning, watching Teema and her friends transforming into bride and bridesmaids and the intensity of that journey, laughter and tears and many shared memories, through to the end of the wedding reception with circus acts and fireworks, the whole event was powerful and meaningful. The role of their families, Teema’s son playing an integral part in the ceremony, the excitement of the evening performances – this wedding was non-stop excitement from beginning to end.
The best outdoor wedding photographs
The wedding venue presented both opportunities and challenges. Strong light casts intense shadows and can be unflattering, whilst outdoor events are subject to all kinds of unpredictable elements from wind to rain to heat to chills. An experienced wedding photographer works with all these factors to create dramatic photographs. For Teema and Jose’s wedding day I was able to explore the effect of sun on the water, the shadows of the palms and the romance of the ocean – the very things that had brought this couple together in such a romantic location in the first place.
