Portrait photo session on Fuerteventura – Sarah
Working with Sarah to shoot her portrait photos was a real joy. I always have a great time serving as a Fuerteventura photographer, it’s such an amazing place to spend time.
Sarah, who was born in the UK, moved to Fuerteventura with her family. Her family moved back to the UK Sarah stayed she’s a surfer and she didn’t want to give up the nice weather and waves!
Portrait photos that are outstanding
· When considering how to work with Sarah as a Fuerteventura photographer, I used a range of techniques to ensure we got exceptional photos. The first was to choose a place that had special associations for Sarah, that reflected her personality and highlighted what makes her unique. For Sarah that was obvious – it was going to be the beach! Picking the right time is also crucial to getting outdoor photographs right. The light has to be good, but you don’t want a crowd of excited bystanders changing the mood of your shoot from an intimate and relaxed session into some kind of public entertainment.
· Then I used the natural lighting available to create well lit photos that avoided glare or squinting, which can be a real problem for outdoor shots. But as an experienced Fuerteventura photographer I was able to position Sarah so that she always looked relaxed and natural.
· Finally, it was important, in such beautiful surroundings, to ensure that the location didn’t distract from the main subject. While the beach was lovely, it definitely wasn’t allowed to upstage Sarah.
Putting together Fuerteventura portrait photos
In pulling Sarah’s album together I chose a range of photographs, including both colour and black and white images and close up portraits alongside full length photos. Together, they create a rounded and sensitive portfolio that shows several sides of Sarah’s personality and reveals her emotions.
